Our main focus is on mechanotransduction—the process of turning mechanical forces into electrical signals that our nervous system can understand. We use cutting-edge tools such as patch-clamp electrophysiology, cryo-EM, and molecular simulations.
Our Research Interests:
- Molecular and cellular mechanisms of mechanotransduction
- Electromotility and sound amplification
- Cancer progression and durotaxis
The techniques we use:
- Electrophysiology - Patch clamp
- Voltage clamp

- Molecular Biology - Mutagenesis
- DNA/RNA purification

- Cell Biology - Flow cytometry
- Cell migration assays

- Biochemistry - Western-blot
- Protein expression

- Structural Biology - Cryogenic Electron Microscopy (cryo-em)

- Cell culture - Primary cell culture
